Freese a moment in time.

There is something about watching the World Series that makes you wonder:

What if I played baseball?

What if I made it to a World Series?

What if I hit a walk off home run to win Game 6 and force Game 7?

I wonder if that is the question that David Freese asked himself last night before walking to the batters box?

If you have not been watching the World Series this year, you are missing out. It has been on of the most entertaining and competitive series’ I have ever watched. Every piece of both line ups match each other well and all of the games have been exciting!

The Texas Rangers have never won the World Series. The Cardinals are searching for one of the greatest comeback stories of all time! 10.5 games back of the Braves in August, going up against the juggernaut that was the Phillies and then taking out a high powered offense and division rivals in the Brewers. Now they sit 27 outs away from winning the World Series. Its incredible!

Two of the best managers in the game in Tony LaRusa and Ron Washington. Arguably the greatest player ever in Albert Pujols, a man on a tear of home runs in Nelson Cruz, an oldy goldy revitalizing his career in Lance Berkman, two of the best catchers in the game in Yadier Molina and Mike Napoli, two incredible bullpen stories on both sides, a man that is overcoming addiction and found Christ in Josh Hamilton and the hometown hero David Freese.

Granted their are a lot of story lines that will be building throughout this game: Will Tony LaRusa be back for another season? Will Albert Pujols be a Cub or a Cardinal or something else next year? Will the Rangers lose ace CJ Wilson? Who will be MVP of the world series?

So many story lines that make this game 7 of the 2011 World Series in my opinion one of the greatest games ever and it hasnt even started yet!!

Marrying into a St Louis based family, it has been absolutely incredible to watch my wife become more and more enamored with this series and the game of baseball as the post season has continued! It is one of those things that you dont ever want to stop because it is so much fun!

Here is my prediction:

Cardinals 7 and the Rangers 6.

It is going to be an incredible game to watch with lots of pitchers and hopefully lots of hits!

What do you think? What is your prediction?
