Hell Is Real. (But I hate to admit it)
Apocalyptic Urgency.
There is no better way to advertise and experience this book.
Brian Jones, husband, father, pastor and friend has written two others books that have been read and loved. This book however is a little bit different if you ask me.
I have known Brian for a little while and to say the least, he is one of the most intriguing writers and speakers that I have ever met. He is so smart that is makes me wonder if I will ever be as smart as he is now. The amount of time that he has taken to write this book has been, well his entire life.
Brian has a knack for bringing in stories from all parts of his life. Some are more serious, some are more astounding and some are well, putting a lit firecracker in a wheel of gasoline. Either way, he is an extremely catching writer and speaker that makes you want to listen and read whatever it is he has to say. This book is no different:
There is a problem in today’s society. This problem seems to be stirring up lots and lots of discussion that seems to be swirling around all different circles. The problem is Hell.
I guess it is not necesarily a new problem. It is a problem that started when God created the Heaven’s and the Earth.
Hell is the eternal place of punishment for any one that doesn’t believe in God.
That’s scary isn’t?
There are some 7 billion people in the world. 2 Billion of them claim they are Christian. It seems like a good ratio. About 1/3 of the people in the world claim to know who God is. But on the other side of things, 2/3 of the people on this planet, claim to not know who God is or believe in a different religion.
That is scary. To think that 2/3 of the people on this earth could possibly go to Hell, the eternal punishment site for those that are away from God. That is not a good statistic.
Apocalyptic Urgency. That is the only answer to this growing, massive problem. Brian does a great job at describing what Apocalyptic Urgency means and why it is a crucial piece of every Christian’s lives.
There is a fun, serious and weighty feel to this book. Brian does a great job at letting you see a little bit of his life and his ministry throughout his entire being. He has been through great parts as well as low parts.
This is a book that I would recommend anyone read for a glance into a good man’s heart and life. As well as a man who has a gift, a gift of apocalyptic urgency, that will nothing stop him.
