Meetings are overrated!

So I have come to a philosophy on meetings.

A) meetings happen way to often. There seems to be a meeting for everything. Some meetings dont really need to be around, some happen multiple time.

B) Aren’t meetings just conversations with agenda’s?

So here is what my thought is, how much more enjoyable could meetings be if instead of going into a meeting, you are going to a conversation with a co-worker, or a conversation with a volunteer or an improtu coffe conversation? Wouldn’t that make work much easier to do?

Maybe I am the only one, but I just do not like the word meeting. It just seems boring, bad connotations, something about it just doesn’t sit well in my stomach.
