The age of Reading

So I have learned something about myself. I like to read. I am not really sure when this love of reading came around, but the past few weeks, I have realized that I very much so enjoy reading.

Although, I seem to not like to stick with one book at a time. I am recently reading like 3 or 4 books all at the same time.

The Pursuit of God by AW Tozer is one, it is an amazing book that is helping me understand how important it is to pursue God with all of my life. I am really enjoying the old school writing, the KJV verses and the fresh(even thought Tozer is old) outlook on the life of a pursuit.

Another book that I am reading is Sustainable Youth Ministry by Mark Devries. It is a book that talks about the key to building a youth ministry that is built to last multiple years. The idea of a ministry that grows, thrives and can last without you. It is a great book for beginning youth minsters and beginning youth ministries.

Another book is The Bible. Not sure if this needs any sort of description. But for me, right now, I am reading through the Bible, from front to back. Every chapter, every verse, every word. I have never done it before and I am really excited about it.

The last book that I am reading is one that I just got recently. It is a book that will hopefully be very insightful for me and other youth ministers that read it. Almost Christian is a book that is solely devoted to talking about this day and age teens that seem to be disappearing from the church. I am very excited to read and learn from this book.

What are you reading? What would you recommend?

I would love to hear about what books are out there that I dont know about.

I hope reading brings as much joy to you as it has shown it does it my life.
