Purpose

We were created by God, for God’s purpose.

How many of us really grasp this idea that we have a purpose that is much bigger than us?

We recently had the Olympics take over the TV and it was very interesting to me when listening to different interviews and quick thoughts from some of the athletes. One of the most common thoughts, or maybe it was the one that stuck out to me most was “it feels good to be apart of something bigger than yourself.” I think that they are absolutely right.

Although they may be talking about the fact the athletes were competing for their country, I think they got it. I think they were able to grasp that we are a small part in a large story.

This story has been going on since the beginning of time. It has gone from Creation to Barack Obama signing a new medicare bill. The story of your life is a speck on a white board. Although that speck is able to be seen, the great question is is your speck there for a reason?

Your life is small in the grand scheme of things, but to be honest, each and every one of us has the chance and opportunity to make our life part of the story that God has created. We all have a purpose. God has a planned purpose for us and He wants us to succeed at this purpose more than we can ever imagine.

What is your purpose? I would love to hear what they are because I would love to talk more about each purpose. The cool thing about our stories is that they are all unique. We all bring something different to the table. We create this elaborate and amazing painting that is God’s creation.
