Gi Joe…..

So I got a txt message from a good friend of mine Friday morning wondering if I had any plans that night. I didnt so we decided to go see a movie.

We werent sure what movie we were going to see, but in the end we decided to see the new GI JOE movie.

When we decided I got kind of excited. I frist saw the trailer and thought that it looked pretty cool. Channing Tatum, Dennis Quad, and that creepy bad guy from Gone in 60 Seconds, were all in the movie.

When I invited another friend of mine he started reading some of the critics quotes on the movie, all of which were bad. But there was one that stuck in my mind the whole day.

“its like wathcing someone play a video game”—that was the qoute. When i first thought of other movies that were like video games, I thought that it would be ok. Well my instincts were pretty spot on.

The movie gets going real quick. Right away in the first 5 minutes of the movie you already have your first action scene including lots of futuristic weapons. The action sequences in the movie were all pretty entertaining. The best ones though always had the two ninja’s in them. Everything is better when it involves swords.

The plot of the movie was ok. Nothing too amazing at all. I was able to predict what would happen about a quarter into the movie, granted most of the plot was given away in that first quarter of the movie.

overall the movie was probably not worth the 10.50, but it was fun seeing it on a big screen. The movie would have probably make you sea sick if you saw it in imax, but it would be kind of cool to see.

Gi Joe gets a C+ in my book. For good action sequences, and an ok plot.
